Shout from the mountaintops. Your local library is the most unused completely incredible resource. Your librarians are superheroes.
I'm at the library and I love it. You should go to the library.

On his birthdays, when someone would wish him a happy birthday, my Opa (a survivor of the concentration camps) would say “thanks! I lived a lot longer than Hitler wanted me to.” He lived all the way until a couple of years ago.

To hell with Hitler, to hell with Nazis.
Happy Hitler Shoots Himself In The Head day to all who celebrate. The 80th anniversary. May his ignominious end, with his body doused in petrol and burned by his last remaining loyalists, be a model for all tyrants.

if you find yourself reluctant to support the guy at Columbia because you find some of the politics he espoused distasteful or even abhorrent, you should know that this is exactly the reaction that they hoped for in choosing him as a target for unlawful detention based on political speech.

Since it apparently needs to be said: As a Jew who works on a university campus, I am safest in a country that protects academic freedom and liberal values of due process of law. Anyone who supports extrajudicial detention of students for "wrong" ideological opinions is not doing it for my safety.

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a dual-antibody treatment that remains effective against ALL SARS-CoV-2 variants by targeting a less-mutable part of the virus. This breakthrough could lead to longer-lasting therapies that OUTPACE viral evolution. 🧪🧵⬇️

BREAKING: In response to our lawsuit, the National Endowment for the Arts will no longer force grant applicants to certify that they won't promote "gender ideology."

This is a big step toward defeating the NEA's unconstitutional censorship.

GOP: Fentanyl is coming across the border. So we are going to make absolutely everything that everyone buys more expensive. We are going to make it especially hard to buy food. This will solve the fentanyl problem.

Anyone who is saying or has said “they won’t *actually* infringe on women’s rights, on transgender rights, on social security, on Medicare, on x, y, z” should TAKE A SEAT and read some history books.

Under Stalin, the composer Shostakovich, labeled by the gov’t as an “enemy of the people,” slept in the stairway of his apartment building.

He was sure the gov’t would come one night to kidnap him, and he didn’t want the commotion to wake his family.

This post is about Trump & the Kennedy Center.

Seems fine that, on the eve of taking power, the new administration now has some precedent to say that any speech/speech methods/platforms it deems as threatening to “national security” can now be suppressed

Very cool from Guitar Center.

I just deleted an earlier post with the same sentiment, although with a fake graphic made by someone trying to scam people. THIS one appears real.

If you’re trying to scam people anytime, esp. during these fires, you are disgusting.
