What a player even as a Wigan fan you couldn’t fail to respect that. However more importantly what a man. The awareness he spread and the funds he raised whilst battling the terrible illness will forever be an inspiration. Rest in peace Mr Burrow the defences of heaven will be terrified tonight.

At the start of the year I set myself a challenge to read 52 books with a caveat that this massive work would be my last read at the appropriate time of year. I have just finished book 51 so here goes. I’ve been looking forward to this #histbookchat
