This is Robbie Gibb.
He and the other right-wing political appointees to the BBC are a big part of the problem there.

The BBC is a national treasure. It's also a behemoth. It's ignorance or malice to attack the entire organisation. However, it's also ridiculous to blindly defend all of it. Gibb, Webb and all the other political advocates within the BBC need to go. We need a strong, unbiased BBC more than ever.

Is this the “government efficiency” Putin’s pet Farage and immigrant’s son Yusuf won’t shut up about? Reform UK’s Leicestershire circus blew £1.4m on a “savings review” that’s ballooned to £30m - a refuked priced farce confirming they’re skint. Reform by name, robbery by nature.

I see the media creating a story about Starmer yet again claiming it came from Labour MP’s they cannot name and unattributed briefings. This seems to happen every few weeks and clearly is a sustained attempt to destabilise the government. Of course there are unhappy MPs as there are in every party.

I see the media are trotting out the same old shit about Starmer fighting for his job. Either after the Budget or maybe after the May elections. When will they realise this is a Labour gov. Not the backstabbing Tories. Starmer gave them an election victory no one thought possible. He’s going nowhere

The government needs to stand up for a truly independent BBC free from political meddling.
That means sacking Robbie Gibb and ending the political grip on the BBC board.

The BBC has been a trusted source of news for decades. But in recent years certain of its journalists have been allowed to show an unhealthy bias against the current govt under the influence of some Johnson-installed management figures.
Weed them out & our impartial BBC might be returned to us.

Farage calls it bias, but what he fears is balance. The BBC must report with courage, question every side, and refuse to echo rage for ratings. Truth has to sound calm when the world shouts chaos.

Interesting that the report that started the current BBC crisis was written by a Tory mate of Robby Gibb.
And then the response to the report was used (by Gibb?) to damage the BBC. 1/2

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.
He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

I'm old enough to remember David Cameron introducing the two child cap without the current clamour about scrapping it. If the policy is so unpopular now, where was your objection when it was introduced?

Anyone know who's paying for Farage's weekly press events, it can't be cheap. They're basically weekly Party Political Broadcasts, he's running rings round the media who turn up every week and in some cases breathlessly report his every word.

You may have missed this gem yesterday. From which we learn that:
1. Betting shops are really good for the mental health of isolated people.
2. Most drug-takers are not a problem.
3. Kids put tuppence in slot machines in the hope of getting rich.
4. Farage probably has a gambling industry donor.

Dominic Cummings, in an earlier incarnation, ran a secretly-funded 'think tank' dedicated to attacking the Beeb while Robbie Gibb glided effortlessly from GBNews to the BBC & started lecturing staff on impartiality. Imagine (cos you'll have to) how the 'left-wing' equivalent would be reported.

The Greens are not the antidote to Reform. Sadly Polanski is a left leaning version of Farage. Both are populists, both have great answers but neither is capable of the hard work needed to develop workable solutions to benefit Britain.
