The John Lennon lambanana outside Arrowe Park Hospital where I had to spend a bit of time the other week. Presumably inspired by the well known Beatles lyric "lambanana-nana-na-nahhhh...."

If you ever run out of things to say about Blackadder please carry on by talking more about Father Ted instead.

You could do an episode on this extremely funny novel by Arthur Mathews for example

I have become fascinated by these relaxing virtual cafe scenes on YouTube. This doesn't look that relaxing to me though. I wouldn't want to be sitting on that sofa when a massive truck comes sweeping down the middle lane

Filming on the streets of Liverpool yesterday and today. When asked, the crew told us they were not permitted to tell us what film was being made. If only there was some sort of clue in this pic from my colleague Allan

Another tip top episode. I think I was mainly aware of Tony Robinson away from Blackadder in the 1983-88 Channel 4 sketch show Who Dares Wins in which he starred (frequently nude as I recall) with Jimmy Mulville, Rory McGrath, Philip Pope and Julia Hills www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6S9...

Very enjoyable episode. But what I want to know is, when she was in Pickwick, did Hilda Braid off of Citizen Smith keep referring to Wolf Mankowitz, the scriptwriter of Pickwick, as Foxy Mankowitz?

Not only did Liverpool sculptor Arthur Dooley make all that money from his artworks, think of all the extra cash he got at the weekend doing his Les Dawson tribute act!

Goon Pod this week: a show first broadcast 22 Feb 1955, the day the Ark Royal set sail. Beatles link: Arthur Dooley was a welder on the Ark Royal before becoming a sculptor. When Liverpool council refused a Beatles statue in the 1970s, Dooley created Four Lads Who Shook the World on Mathew Street

Mersey Beat issue 3 early August 1961. NEMS manager Brian Epstein began contributing a record review column from this issue. On the front cover, an ad for a show at The Cavern featuring The Beatles who Brian claimed he hadn't heard about until October when a fan asked him for their record My Bonnie
