Let me add to this - I’ve recently recommended to our trainee solicitors that they read your posts as a learning point for how to present legal research and advice that is clear & easy to understand by any reader.

Yes absolutely. In most parliamentary sessions it won’t make a difference if the Government has a majority- but make them publicly need to ask parliament to approve things like prorogation or calling an election.

Given your work on juries what are your thoughts on the amendment to contempt rules to allow jury research through interviews etc? How do you think this would work?
