More than other places in the world, Rome makes me want to learn Italian because people talk LOUD and it’s like eavesdropper’s paradise

Also I turned on Italian TV at 1 am and they were showing a silent b&w film consisting solely of a woman smoking a cigarette

I am in Rome and the best thing that’s happened is I was telling a friend I had delicious cannoli, and a passing stranger scolded me in Italian that I should only eat cannoli if I’m in Sicily
