I miss hair a little bit. I miss proper youth a lot.

This evening we fixed our cooker. It's the third time I've had the guts out of it in 9 years and we're still very chuffed to keep the thing kicking. It was second hand when we bought it, so the thing owes nothing to anyone.

I am now near enough to my forties that the most exciting part of the week is batch cooking a couple of litres of chilli con carne, because that means I get to have chilli on toast for breakfast the next day .

Crikey Ogmore is a gorgeous part of the world. Of all the places in South Wales to wander to in a failed attempt to get the baby to nap, this was the wettest.
