He’s the student who:

- arrives to 1st class thinking he doesn’t need to be there;

- reads but too quickly;

- talks too much;

- ends semester by triumphantly sharing realizations that others started with.

I mean it’s *good* that he took the class & developed a bit, but what a painful process.

Can’t material ugly prompt righteous reflection & truthful repair?
