I read 294 pages, and it was adorable—cupcake sweet, even if the spice was…trying its best—and then, out of nowhere, literally, they’re talking about having a baby. Like, they’re abt to go fuck on stage because they’re broke, and they’re like, “Getting her pregnant would earn tips” so…baby.

Ooooh! Chapter two is much, much, much better written. It’s immediately obvious the author got it edited and then added a new first chapter without getting it professionally edited. (That happens, sometimes.) Now, I’m excited again! 🤞🤞🤞

Some authors act like characters can do anything—lose all integrity and respect—and, if the other characters forgive them, the readers will too. I don’t. Lol. A book last week was like, “I was the worst.” “No, I was the worst.” “Let’s be the worst together!” Me: “Zero respect. Zero attraction. 🖕”
