Bad journalism is so harmful, and the most obvious examples are health related.

NO ONE IS SAYING SKIP SHORT WALKS!

And no one is trading off between a short walk and a long walk—they are trading between a short walk and NO WALK.

And a short walk is always better than no.

This statue, Figure on a Trunk by Magdalena Abakanowicz, used to stand in front of Bass Hall.

I wondered where it went, until I found it tucked quietly between buildings—without a placard.

Have we traded our HC?

Not sure I would have gone for Jim, but something had to change.

I think I’m going to re-read “High Conflict” —I’m reminded that for many people your political party is your group identity; and changing that is as painful as leaving your social net.

Its why many people, and podcasters, do mental gymnastics to conform their beliefs to their social group.

*SES - social economic status

It’s interesting to me how much we punish people through policy who have kids “the wrong way”—when we lose context that each of us got here by first being a kid, that was in some respect cared/provided for.

Guess which Tony Mansolino quote came first:

“He looks like he’s been in the big leagues 7–8 years.”

“Some at-bats may not be the best, but they’re more good than bad in a lot of ways.”

I think he just mis-scouted the performance that already happened.

I thought that when checking in earlier this year, but he seems to go as long as his pitch count will get him.

He just has a lot of strike outs so his pitch count can spike high.

Being pulled at 60 something pitches seems an anomaly.
