White Lotus -sarjan kolmas kausi oli mielestäni paras. Hitaampi kerronta yhdistettynä väkeviin roolisuorituksiin toimi hienosti - vaikka loppua kohden juonilankojen yhteenpunominen tuntuikin hieman väkinäiseltä.

After two months and 5500km with the #Kia #EV3 in a colder climate, a few thoughts.

Bottom line first: I am happy with the car. It performs as good as promised and ticks all the right boxes. As a bonus, it is made in South Korea (battery from LG).

Pitkään #HBO katselulistalla roikkunut Mare of Easttown (2021) osoittautui suositusten arvoiseksi. Hyvä päätös tehdä vain minisarja ja lopettaa huipulle. Kate Winsletin rooli aiheellisesti palkittu.

Testing the deicing capabilities of the #Kia #EV3. Starting with cold car, pictures showing the status of deicing with 1 minute intervals (from 2min to 5min).

5min for deicing windshield, mirrors and front windows. Good performance!

Efficiency update for #Kia #EV3.
I’d say good performance and value for money. Should be notably better if starting trips with preheated battery and cabin?

Note: only longer road trips are of interest and included (total driving distance 2700km).

Charging curves for the #Kia #EV3 without preheating the battery. First 8-10min slower charging due to battery heating? Ok-ish performance. Outside temperature +2 degrees.

Optimal SOC seems to be around 70-75%, with or without preheating.

2200km update for the #Kia #EV3. With winter conditions ranging between -11 to +6 degrees, the car has performed very well.

FWD works well unless a lot of snow/slush (10cm+). Heat pump works nicely. Consumption ranging between 19-23kWh/100km - depending on weather - with highway speeds of 100km/h.

Worrying accumulation of water/slush behind the charging port cover in #Kia #EV3. Slush behind the hinge is particularly bad as if that freezes, opening the cover would be difficult. Conditions have been extreme during the last few days but this shouldn’t happen. The cover has been closed.

Average speed 90km/h
Consumption 22kWh/100km

Cold battery starts. Outside temperatures ~0 degrees celsius. Wet or slushy roads. Studded 19” winter tires. Heating ~21 degrees. Battery preheating used twice.

Another charging test for the Kia EV3. Similar conditions. First few minutes limited charging speed due to load sharing with another car. Otherwise nice charging curve again, this time until 70% SOC. 31min between 12-75% (load sharing to be noted).
