Volunteer with FFI’s national immigration detention hotline! Support the movement to abolish detention by advocating alongside people inside ICE detention. Swipe to learn more. FFI’s National Immigration Detention Hotline is a vital tool used to build power with people inside detention, expose abuse, and move us closer to our goal of abolishing the detention system. More information We’re looking for Haitian Kreyol, French, Russian, Arabic, and Vietnamese speakers; Volunteers work a consistent 2-3 hour shift weekly Role description Respond to calls to the hotline from people in immigration detention; Monitor detention conditions, report abuses, and request support on behalf of callers; Commit an additional 30 minutes after your shift for follow-up on your calls; Looking for volunteers who can project their empathy and understanding over the phone and reassure people in detention, as well as set boundaries.
