This was a wise decision. I am so beyond stuffed after housing down 14 pieces of sushi in a row.

I foolishly thought this project would be fun. Towards the end, I was ready to hurl the entire thing at the floor. I persevered and finally finished it last night. It doesn't look half bad for something a friend referred to as "My-kea." Dimmable LEDs, RF on/off controls, holds my stuff nicely, etc.

Let this be a lesson for all in not getting complacent. Grip screw in vice grips, cut with dremel, dip in water bucket, remove from vice grips. Had 30 to do. Around screw 15, autopilot engaged, brain checked out. I did not dip. At least if I need to know the threads, I can check my two fingers.

New AIO installed, system is running cooler than before it went ape shit. Though, the process of getting there was less than enjoyable. Cooler was so stuck to the CPU that it yanked the CPU out of the socket, even though it was locked. Then, I had to rewire half the case. Looks good, though.

It begins! First batch complete and ready to go. Hard to think that it's been a year since I started this project.

For my birthday, almost 30 years ago, my mother took me to the bookstore to pick out a gift. I picked out The Iron Dragon's Daughter by @michaelswanwick.bsky.social. It has been my favorite book my entire life, and impacted me quite a bit. My fiance just gave me this for christmas. I am blown away.

I spent an hour earlier gothifying our den. An hour of me feeding LEDs into the wall one LED at a time like the world's strangest string of anal beads. 13 feet worth.

Well, that was confusing as hell. "Hey hon? Can you come here?" "What's up?" "What the fuck is this on the floor?" I go into the den, lean over to look at this black cord on the floor. My partner reaches out to pick it up. It's a fucking snake. Nothing dangerous, just a northern ringneck.

I want to make more sewing projects. I think this is the last one I made a few years ago (other than some quick stitches or repairs).

When my one cat decides it's time for bed, she'll come into my office and yell at me. Then when I get up to get ready for bed, she runs to the bedroom to get ready to nap on me.

Vanilla Update: Batch #1 is officially at six months. When I open up the storage to shake them, it smells like vanilla every time even though the bottles are sealed, and it's SO GOOD. Really darkening up compared to before too.

Also, I had a visitor stop outside my office window for a snack earlier today.
