A random D&D map making tip for anyone who cares: You made a castle, fort, etc. but accidentally have one or two rooms you can't think of what to do with them? Make them a bathroom and/or broom closet. It's a fun little surprise for when the party opens the door expecting treasure or a fight.

Random thought of the night: You know what's a damn shame? There will never be a Woods VI.

A phone call came in at work earlier today for fake debt collection, with an automated voice. Who did they call to try to collect this debt? Our elevator. 🤣 @deviantollam.bsky.social

...well that was fun. Cooking alpaca burgers for dinner. Burger one? Fine. Burger two? Fine. Burger three? Fi-SMOKE BOMB! Turn the heat down. Burger four? SMOOOOOOOOKE! They didn't even char like crazy or anything, just suddenly went turbo smoke. Entire second floor is smokey, but tasted good.

The joys of being "the resident hacker" at work - anytime a team runs into some weird shit that they can't figure out, they figure you've probably seen it before and ask you to help solve it.

You know you're too tired when you're standing there at the sink, swishing around mouthwash, wondering why it hasn't buzzed yet to let you know you're done, so you can spit.

In a waiting room and an old episode of The Price Is Right is playing. The prize is a cookware set... made by Raytheon.

Also, hey, it's not midnight yet here of the first day, so, happy pride, everyone. Don't take shit from anyone, be your best self, and if you can't safely do so now, survive until you can. The world is here for you when you're able, and we're all better for you in it.

Additional note for anyone who has ever wanted to - do it. Brain damage hosed my fine motor skills, I've got nerve damage in my fingertips, etc. Consider pre-minced/pre-grated ingredients and using a jig for making everything a mobility aid. Don't let the world steal your joy, it takes enough as is.
I've never made sushi by myself before, and haven't helped someone make sushi in 23 years. So, all in all, pretty proud of my salmon roll. Tasted really good. It was my spouses first time ever having sushi, and they also quite liked it.

This was a wise decision. I am so beyond stuffed after housing down 14 pieces of sushi in a row.

So, we're all in agreement that Pete Hegseth is leaking military info via Signal because he probably got bullied off the War Thunder forums by 13 year olds, yeah?

Why did I think doom scrolling on lunch break from a work training was a good idea? Now I just want to make people eat their teeth, and still have four hours of training left for the day. *sigh* May I make wiser decisions tomorrow.

As much as this project drove me crazy, I'm now sitting here, wanting a new creative project to do. Maybe I'll start a sewing project idea I have after my cert test is done next week.
I foolishly thought this project would be fun. Towards the end, I was ready to hurl the entire thing at the floor. I persevered and finally finished it last night. It doesn't look half bad for something a friend referred to as "My-kea." Dimmable LEDs, RF on/off controls, holds my stuff nicely, etc.

I am hating this project. Glue dried, continued to install the mounting hardware and busted every spot that the mounting hardware was going. It's now soaking in more glue, which has so far sprouted five leaks. Hopefully, that's the last of them to fix, and it's not glued to the floor in the morning.
Welp, went to install the mounting hardware this was for into my shelving unit. Got all the small pilot holes drilled, no issues. Went to drill the half inch pilot hole for the mounting hardware and the entire corner exploded. Just going to let that sit in a pool of wood glue overnight... -.-
Let this be a lesson for all in not getting complacent. Grip screw in vice grips, cut with dremel, dip in water bucket, remove from vice grips. Had 30 to do. Around screw 15, autopilot engaged, brain checked out. I did not dip. At least if I need to know the threads, I can check my two fingers.

Just worked 46.75 of the past 64 hours to get things where they need to be before I go in vacation for the next month. Granted, I'm still going to have to deal with some work bullshit here and there, but probably no more than 15 - 30 minutes a week.
