Didn’t expect voice training with a therapist to be so triggering of gender dysphoria. I think I’m still at a point in transition where touching just one aspect of dysphoria causes me to feel grief, regret, and shame about all other aspects. 😩

No one ever said this was going to be easy.

One might ask, why is my opinion printed by a powerful institution, but others are not? One might ask all sorts of introspective questions the treats given by the institution distract from.

For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

It’s so humiliating to hit a normie with a too-online joke. They’re just standing there with a job, spouse, and kids thinking you’re being completely serious and asking follow-up questions.

I think millennials and gen Z do have it harder than Boomers in a lot of ways, but Nikki Haley's kid is not remotely a victim of that trend.

The article says he's struggling because unemployment is high (it isn't), foreigners are taking jobs (they aren't) and crime is rampant (it's not).
People wildly overestimate the economic security experienced by past generations. There's no period in American history where significant numbers of young people were just handed high paying jobs. Nostalgia for a time that never existed is a huge problem.
Why Nikki Haley’s son went radical: His generation inherited insecurity.

I profile Nalin Haley, a fascinating young man, who I believe will likely play an important role in conservative politics in years to come.

I love to see stuff like this because it helps explain to people trapped in tech-sponsored information bubbles the actually obvious fact that universities teach people to know & think things, and AI is a way to produce the effect of knowing & thinking things w/o actually knowing & thinking them.

If I were King Caliente I would simply not swallow and spit out objects I was vulnerable to but I guess I’m just built differently.

This, of course, speaks to the failings of monarchy. We shouldn’t entrust power simply based upon birthright, it ends like this.
