Randomly recommending a clip from the 25th Anniversary Special of a cartoon I watched as a kid, then revealing said clip is 15 years old, right before my birthday, KIND OF feels like a dick move YouTube algorithm.

Yup, went in to subscriptions, hit Cancel, and you get the offer to switch to 365 Family Classic with an annual cost of $100 vs $125 for Copilot. Mine wasn't set to renew until November, but still let me make the switch.

Well, now I'm just questioning my approach to Bluesky, since apparently I'm missing the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins discourse.

(Also I got to watch it on the big screen when I went to an Alamo Theater screening of War of the Rohirrim).

Very happy I finally got to add the physical copy of Trinity Continuum: Anima to my bookshelf! Great to see one of my favorite game lines expanding, and I'm really looking forward to adding Aether and Aegis in the future. Nice way to close out the year!

Also, the bullshit generator continues to demonstrate why I've started to actively avoid using Google. It is not portal fantasy, it doesn't combine magic and technology, and Murderbot does not make a special guest appearance like some sort of Martha Wells Jetsons Meet the Flintstones.

Box full of Fantasy Cyberpunk for the #CityOfMist rpg. Given how much I've been enjoying Demon Lord 2099 this anime season, I'm especially looking forward to digging into the Tokyo city/setting book!

More artwork from the W20 Book of the Wyrm Pentex campaign. Initially I was really pulling in from the new Technocracy Convention splatbooks that had just come out, though as time went on I tried to lean more heavily on Werewolf background material. I think I just muddied things up, but it was fun!

Some more old artwork, I made this for the W20 Book of the Wyrm Kickstarter back in 2014. Part of the campaign was a tier to create a new NPC board member for Pentex. My contribution was Ian Robberson, who managed to get voted in by the Kickstarter backers!

Reposting some old, old artwork from years ago. I've not drawn in a while, need to find that bit of creative spark again.

This one was called Shoujo Werewolves, inspired by a thread on Rpg.net about combining Werewolf: the Apocalypse and magic girls anime genre.

Continuing to set up my plan to try and focus more on physical news arriving at a slower pace, I subscribed to the Guardian weekly magazine. Partly motivated by the announcement that they're getting off of Twitter. There's a survey after you subscribe that hits some good points, as well

There are few other reputable alternative media sources in my country. I am concerned by the financial and commercial pressures facing news organizations like the Guardian. The Guardian's journalism is trustworthy, factual and high quality. I value the Guardian's international perspective. I want to support the Guardian's investigative reporting. I wanted to join a close community of likeminded Guardian supporters. I read Guardian journalism regularly so feel I should pay for it. I want to protect the Guardian's editorial independence. Guardian reporting helps me to better understand complex world events/issues.
