I got a used iMac today. It was being weird af. Was able to just clear the computer and get it into recovery mode. Idk how I remembered how to use disk utility and repair disks and properly format them and reinstall the OS but I did. I’m new to Apple Silicon but man this is not a good start.

Work things from today. Built some propane cowboy regulators & tested them with flame bars (forgot to video that). Drew some “puddles” which I will cut out in the morning. & brought equipment to the set so we can set it all up/test it tomorrow so it’s ready for camera on Friday.

Man the movie industry is a crazy one I tell yall. I always dreamed of working in it and knew it would come with chaos but damn. I love being in a union but sometimes (a lot of the time) people know how to bend the rules and people get fucked over.

Just been feeling really shitty about work lately. I don’t want to feel jealous of other people getting more work than me even though they deserve it & worked hard for it but I am.
I think I’m gunna stop smoking for a bit. I just want to be prepared & not panic when I get last minute calls.

So beyond stressed about work and the bureaucracy around it all right now. I want a day off from crap calls but I also need the days so I can become a member and choose my calls. It just sucks right now.

My landlord asked me to show the back apartment to a hopeful renter. I was brutally honest with them about everything (good & bad). Any concerns they had our landlord fixed immediately & they then signed the lease. This was the email I received today from my landlord. 💙

This is called an Antari S500. This is a “snow machine”. This is used on the day to make it look like it’s snowing out. From light snow to complete blizzard. It uses a water based soap liquid that is non toxic and 100% biodegradable.

This was what the snow dressing ended up looking like before set crew came in. On the day they tend to change & add more depending on what is needed on camera. The white stuff is called “Krendl” which is a repurposed insulation spraying machine but we use biodegradable paper & water.

First time doing fake snow dressing on set. This is what we have done today. Tomorrow I should hopefully be able to get a photo with the real “fake” snow on top of the snow blanket.

I don’t want to be mean but if you’re driving uber and take every wrong turn on a trip that it’s literally straight up a road and then tell me “not to argue” I’m gunna lose it. I just can’t right now.

Quad infused- Bc Organic Sunset RUNTZ from Simply Bare, mixed with its own Keif & a bit of Death Bubba live rosin in the middle. With the outside coated in Blood Orange distillate, & Death Bubba diamonds. All rolled in a hemp vanilla blunt. A nice smooth orange cream popsicle flavour all together

My husband spent a month in freezing cold temps in 1 of the worst winter storms in southern Ontario, at a hotel with no power & the main road closed for a few days, for this movie. All while my soul cat slowly died from kidney disease & he couldn’t be here with me. Y’all better watch it & enjoy it🫵🫵

I really wanted a day off but was not in the books for me. Instead I got 4 hours of sleep and now I’m on my way to my first film shift of the summer. Gunna be a long day. And then it’s back to retail at 10am Saturday.
