Correction: he didn't directly send troops but he certainly didn't oppose it and speak out against 1A rights violations - and that's utterly appalling. He spoke instead of "order". If we want to win elections we must stand consistently with our values - not just what our donors sanction.

"Law and Order" is a MAGA phenomenon that goes all the way back to Nixon. MLK spoke of the white moderate's insistence of order over justice - that's exactly what the modern Dem party has become. Some humility and self-awareness is critical.

The Democratic party started from its popular FDR roots starting with Clinton's Third Way. Here's a great book I highly recommend. Knowledge is power and as liberals we should be seeking truth from legitimate, credible sources at every opportunity. We adapt or die.

Is this how Dems fight for us? As a lifelong faithful Dem voter, I see good cop/bad cop complicity. This is just *one* example.

Totally get what you're saying. At the same time, I think complicity with evil is just as bad if not worse because we expect better from a party who claims to work on our behalf 😞

The Democratic party works for their donors, not us. And that's why we are where we are. With all the resources our party has, there's zero excuse for them to lose not just once, but TWICE to this fascist buffoon.
