fascinating that this doesn't intend to be a hit piece--more like an ethical "gotcha" for readers--but all it ultimately does is uphold the idea that there's no ideological purity under capitalism

The No Kings March in Chicago is one of the largest gatherings I’ve seen here. Looking down from by the river, the crowd stretches for blocks down Michigan Ave and wraps around Wacker Dr. This video is from a few minutes ago and the end of the protest is nowhere in sight.

I do think it's inherently callous & unempathetic to not sympathize with people with mental illnesses. And I don't mean baby us like children. I mean grasp that our lives are more difficult than yours in a lot of ways.
