Absolutely agree. W/R/T to the first one--passive resistance, i.e. making the cops drag you away, is a tactic. It takes training and preparation, and if you haven't had it, don't do it.
Don't sit or kneel in front of riot cops. Sitting puts your head at rubber bullet height. Sitting makes it hard to run away from vehicle attacks.

Don't point protesters out to the cops. Don't hand protesters over to the cops.

Mind your business. What did you see? You didn't see shit.

This isn't even finished yet and it's already super-helpful--a primer on just cause and workers should have it but often don't (and often mistakenly think we do ).

Thanks, @dskamper.bsky.social.
All right, let's do this.

I have no inside info on @karenattiah.bsky.social's case. But I know Post employees are part of @postguild.bsky.social, and their contract allows the union to challenge "disciplinary action on the basis that is was taken without just cause."

So what's just cause?

Any interest in an educational thread on "just cause" protections in union contracts?

Answer: Motivated reasoning. They want to believe what you want them to believe, so they believe whatever you say that lets them feel better about themselves.
The dishonesty is, in fact, off the charts, JD. You're the guy who fessed up to lying about Haitian immigrants because you wanted people to feel scared of Black and brown people. Why would anyone believe anything you say ever again?

The MAGA Murder Budget includes $155 billion to turn the US into a police state. We must explain why that would be a nightmare for nearly all Americans.
