This is really unnerving to read as a Canadian…and facing an election where the expected winner would be taking us right back to those days and worse. Good luck to all of us trying to lead towards a healthy, just, thriving future. The headwinds continue to be unimaginable. #stubbornoptimism

Some great Saturday morning conservation news. ☕️

“…a safe passage for endangered species like the short-eared owl 🦉 and red-headed woodpecker, a private habitat for moose 🫎, deer 🦌 and black bears 🐻, a commitment to conservation that honours the land’s history...”

Love this!!
Did you know that every French parking lot is going to be covered with solar panels? That Indonesia said it will close down its coal plants? That Nest is building a giant 'virtual powerplant' in Texas
There are things to be thankful for, even in Nov 2024

Yes.
A gentle reminder that if we miss the 1.5°C target (and we certainly will), the next target is 1.51°C and not 2°C. We need to keep fighting.

Every tonne of CO₂ emitted makes the job of future CO₂ removal harder, and every 0.01°C of temperature increase makes the world more chaotic and dangerous.
