At certain point though, if its subject like Stats & Prob, actually doing some associated project using the knowledge or teaching it to other people is the ultimate method to solidify things. No real shortcut either to just going through lots and lots of worked examples, math academy helps with that

Used multiple things, taught multiple people & recommended different methods, but best found, based on results has been math academy, its paid, but very much worth it, and supplement with textbooks if needed and YouTube. But its quite self contained

Have ever looked into municipal bonds or the more unusual stuff. High schools with 100s of millions dollar debts for usually mini sport stadiums. Look some the things just confused what the hell the money was spent on. Since lot is property tax funded it's all very rickety from a recessionary angle

Don't know how can look at the present admin and not assume more of this, regardless of supposed narratives about shifting back from positions after pressure. It's rather this process constant policy enshittification constantly breaking things and hoping no crisis arrives

It's what confuses me about market coverage. The tariffs are not the economic headwind it's the machine that makes those decisions. Tariffs will be riddled with exceptions, pull backs and changes. But fundamentally it's the self harming policy generation machine that has 40+ months left.

It's all such an American season of brexit, even with the insider WhatsApp groups too. For the apparent serious intellectual discussions. Like brexit notice the supposed grand victories shrink in scope as time goes on. American golden age has become we might get trade deal with japan

Data is incredibly unreliable out some states especially poorer ones. But proxy data kinda suggests it's falling in the poorest of states, religious states, falling in North Korea. Just few pockets were it isn't. There is no clear obvious answer to explain it all

Natalism discourse is really meme heavy. As you said if look at the declines worldwide, it's such heterogeneous collection of countries. Don't know how anyone could convince themselves it one thing. Honestly I don't know either. Vaguely say mobile interent is the only cross cutting thing. But why

We massively boosted the speed, security and performance of the database in the last year. But not doing press release about how we are now on certain version of postgres and improved sql queries. Customer doesn't care. They would care if the product stopped working though

Pure LinkedIn exec slop brain. That people yearn for AI button tis magic. It's like, no they don't. We can use embedding layers or natural language processing layer to say in the background improve search. But the end customer doesn't give shit about knowing that. They just want a better product

It's so strange internally with us. Gets pushed we most have an integration from the parent corp. Thankfully, lead position I can stop it. Not totally against. But only if its genuinely useful, insist it most go through usual feature dev process, customer feedback, ux planning etc.

Very true. Just consider those for variety of American political cultural reasons essentially unlikely to happen until extremis. If even ever, because accelerating crisis they can do something mad like start pointless war or at least escalation to keep things on side.

Well there is things that can be done. But the systematic threshold to get there might take long time to get there

And the parliamentary political system allowed correction and adaptions while accommodating daft assumptions. The American system can just be locked into Trump, there is little levers to pull
