My favorite thing about Bluesky is that I see the things I want to see in my feed, not curated content force fed to me by an algorithm.
I compared 22 identical climate-related posts on Threads vs Bluesky over the last 3 months, and the difference is shocking.

Normalized engagement on Threads dropped nearly 2/3 + my following dropped, while Bluesky engagement held steady + following quadrupled.

What’s driving this?

By 1980, when his presidency ended, Carter had completely transformed the federal bench, appointing 41 women and 57 racial minorities as federal judges—a 500% increase in the number of women serving on the federal bench and a nearly 200% increase in the number of nonwhite federal judges.

Please remember that President Carter appointed more minorities and women to the bench than all previous presidents combined. He was the first President to embrace the concept of bringing racial diversity to the federal bench. A key aspect of his legacy.

While I never had the fortune to meet Senator Fork, the work he did for this state should be a model for every sitting and aspiring legislator.
The celebration at Council of Vincent Fort's career of fighting for ordinary people was very moving. He was a great partner in the Redlight the Gulch campaign. His legislative work and public pressure against evictions during the predatory lending era saved many from destitution. Thank you, Vincent.
Cannon switches gears to remind the Council of individuals like State Senator Vincent Fort, who the Council just recognized with a proclamation, partly for his work on fighting unjust zoning issues.
