Yes I agree with this. The problem for grant-dependent researchers is that even if they win in court to get their illegally withheld funds, they’re sure to be denied any new grants by these corrupted agencies. 2026-2028 will be a killing field as institutions hemorrhage their research apparatus

My experience with students this semester hasn't been as demoralizing as the person who wrote that thread reports. I see some of the behaviors he describes, but I've also seen a lot of grim determination on the part of my students to resist the imperatives of constant online-ness and AI dependence.

I was told & indeed keep hearing that since everyone needs water, hydrology is a growth field.
What's actually a growth field is water law & scammy "tricks" to acess water you shouldn't have.
Having ethics makes working on crops hard enough, water now is a bridge to far.

Meanwhile, even if a reader takes the time to click on and read the article, they still have to scroll past two ads and a list of related stories to get to the "okay but" paragraph explaining that real scientists are highly skeptical of these new FDA claims.

Fascism is using us American Jews as moral human shields, covering its takeover with lies about protecting Jews. They aren’t. They’re pushing Jews into harm’s way, as some Jews become fools & believe it & some non-Jewish antifascists are fooled & believe it. Only fascism profits from this lie.

Also the scheme lets people pay when they sell or die.
