I'm glad because I could write exclusively in that story world. Though I'll probably have to stay away from it for a while now, haha. I'll probably be "announcing" my next book in just a few weeks!

Agree! I'm not as well-versed on all the classics, but I revere MR James, and we've talked about him a lot...Blackwood and a few others, too. Even went way back and geeked out on Beowulf and Old English a little recently.

I just finished reading The October Film Haunt this morning and really enjoyed it; one of the best horror novels I've ever read. I also liked that much of the book takes place in Hinesburg, VT (home of that great writer, Daniel Mills) and makes reference to the "Mills farmhouse." Nice!

I'm so glad to hear that! Wow. And good catch with the Mills reference. The book was always going to be set in the Burlington area, but Daniel is the reason for Hinesburg specifically. When I was up there last year, he drove me to the cemetery and the road Jorie lives on. :)

Happy Saturday to you, too! I received your print and am torn between keeping it and gifting it to a 13-year-old I know who would really love it. I think I'm going to do the nice thing in the end. :)

I hope you have a wonderful time with it! And "ready for sorrow made out of film roll and some Pine Arch Research" is a really good way to go in. :)

Pretty certain it's Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby.
