How to have a glorious horror-movie-themed couple of months with your eldest daughter (a lesson in far too many steps):

Step the First: Catch a showing of a 35mm print of Rabid (1977) in the theatre.

Step the Second: Attend Q&A with Rabid director David Cronenberg hosted by Guillermo del Toro.

@authorcmforest.bsky.social Saw a picture of you at dReadCon. Hope it was a good show for you. My eldest and I really tried to make it, but, between taking my youngest to dance rehearsals in North York and the eldest attending TIFF, it just wasn’t going to happen.

My daughter saw the horror/comedy Dead Talents Society at its North American premiere and thought it was great. Now that it is on Netflix, she shared it with me. She’s right. It’s a lot of fun.

My eldest daughter and I did a thing during the Christmas break. We experienced both House of Wax (1953) and The Mask (1961) at the theatre in glorious 3D. We even got to keep the glasses for The Mask! 😁

So sad to hear Olivia Hussey has passed away. I love her in Black Christmas and she is totally enchanting as Juliet in the 1968 film version of Romeo and Juliet. Plus she was always gracious and kind in our short communications. #RIPOliviaHussey

I don’t recall this Reebok tie-in to Aliens. They really didn’t try very hard.

Just a glimmer of hope in a dark time.
Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

As today would have been the 102nd birthday of Christopher Lee (shared with the 113th anniversary of Vincent Price’s birth), it is only fitting that we share our small tribute to the legendary man.

One of the shelf units housing a portion of my #LooneyTunes collection. I stitched two pictures together to create this image. Hence, the strangeness about the middle. I already highlighted some of the items shown in this image in earlier posts.

I believe there are only four each of the Price Products music boxes and night lights.  I only have one music box in my #LooneyTunes collection.  The music boxes and night lights use the same porcelain figures with the music boxes having round bases and the night lights having rectangular bases.

In 1973, Pepsi sponsored glasses with solitary images of 18 of the #LooneyTunes characters. Two different companies (Brockway and Federal) produced the glasses, and there are many different sizes and variations. I focused on Brockway with black lettering and the Pepsi logo around the side.

To the best of my knowledge, Price Products released ten bells and ten figurines.  In my #LooneyTunes collection, I only have four of the bells but all but one of the figurines.  The Road Runner figurine and bell seem to be the hardest to find.
