Shallow Hal is the perfect metaphor for the Packers assessment of their WR room. Doubs? Really? Link to full Week 7 preview in next tweet.

I'm conflicted about panicking over Terry McLaurin and
@pianow.bsky.social makes me say why. It's model vs. money. This is a Breakfast Table Podcast highlight. Subscribe for as little as $5/month via the link. www.patreon.com/posts/week-3...

The Breakfast Table waiver-wire preview starts off on the No. 1 QB in yards per pass play on a team that hasn't punted, Daniel Jones. Will he crash or is this remotely real? See link for full pod. @pianow.bsky.social www.patreon.com/posts/week-3...

I finally gave in on the Gretzky rookie. Stupid not to have it. This is harshly graded but not as harshly as the second-year Namath. I’m sure technically the grades are accurate. 25% chance they’re both SGC 7s but I don’t care. I have a 6.5 1966 Namath already.

McLaurin looks like a disaster. You can't be invisible two games out of the gate. He started the same way last year. But the hit rates of these slow starters this decade (two starts, 10-to-15 total PPR combined points) is very low. He's PROBABLY a bust. I liked him a lot. @pianow.bsky.social

Back of the envelope Week 1 performance. Not a power ranking. Not opponent adjusted since we don't know the opponent. But yards per play differential is VERY IMPORTANT in predictive strength. Here's the Week 1 ranks. #Jets and #Browns only top 10 teams to lose.

Davey Johnson was the best #Mets manager post-Hodges. His confidence/arrogance shaped the 1986 Mets. He was an underrated tactician and his managing of a win in 1986 at Cincy where he alternated L-Orosco with R-McDowell by putting them into the off-OF spot was pure genius. RIP

Greatest and most shocking RB receiving game in postseason history with iconic catch. 7-123-3 points in pasting of Rams at LA in NFC championship the week after the Hail Mary.

Dallas rotated QBs this year if you can believe it. They brought in an plays from original control freak Landry

One of the best trades in Philly history. Got him for a first and two seconds. Cincy lost his rights to the World Football League but still traded him somehow. The Bengals got three Super Bowl starters with those picks.

We forget about our mocks early in the summer for magazines and the site. Here were mine. I give myself a B+ based on how ADP ultimately shook out. I drafted Rodriguez in June for Lindy's (I think it was for that)
