Cage of Stars by @frasierarmitage.bsky.social is an incredible journey across, and beneath, the surface of an expansive world. Hugely unique in voice and stunningly written.

Who would’ve thought I could care so much about a robot? 🤖

Rightly so. Such a fantastic book! I raved about it sometime ago, so it's nice to see Time Magazine is finally catching up with me.

Good thing she didn't quote a particular Bob Marley song, otherwise @safety.bsky.app might've swatted her.

straight up, if you like the work people do, supporting creator-owned is the only way for them to keep doing it. aside from the ~10 people who are always at the top, it's a constant clawing for readers for everybody else
It's a high time for the direct market, but non-licensed comics — i.e. creator-owned + other original comics — are going through a "wildly unpredictable" period.

In this week's feature, I talked to creators about navigating this uncertain time, what's fueling it, and how it's affecting their plans.
“It's Wildly Unpredictable”: Creators on Navigating an Uncertain Time for Non-Licensed Comics - SKTCHD

I'm guessing, and hoping that given Roth's involvement, this isn't based on the Image comic book series of the same name. It doesn't seem to be, at least, but I could be wrong. I haven't read anything from that series yet...

It occurs to me that I don't think I ever read THE BAZAAR OF BAD DREAMS. I likely won't for a while, either; I want to have some unread King books for that eventual day when we no longer have new King books to look forward to.

Democrats at every level of power could simply repeat "he must resign" over and over and over again. It's what the GOP would do if the situation were reversed. Further erode his power by pushing him to lash out more.
