I’ve had the opportunity lately to collaborate with another creative on a really fun project, and I have to say, I should’ve done this a long time ago. Collaborating is awesome. Great ideas, accountability to the work, motivating…highly recommended.

Thinking about hanging out my shingle for developmental editing, query feedback, coaching, critiques, etc. Why let 30+ years of writing, six novels (w/ more to come) and all my marketing chops go to waste?

It's reminder time again. We have no idea who our Kindle subscribers are, but there are a lot of them. Losing those subscribers is going to be brutal, so we'll keep bringing this up. We have no choice.

Summer is the new fall? I love Halloween unreservedly, but it’s July 29 and I just finished sweating off 10 pounds chasing a toddler around a playground in rather insistent LA sun.

And here I thought having my first PSL over Labor Day weekend at DragonCon felt weird.

Reminder: Love a writer’s work? Tell them. Seriously. A review or an email or something on social media. Whatever works for you. Sure, some might be assholes, but most writers I know are insecure a lot of the time and hearing from readers brightens up their day.

You know how you have a mountain of things to do, all across the board, in all areas of life…but then you get a writing idea and it’s all you can think about?

I mean, I have my FINRA Series 7 exam next week, and I’m obsessed with haunted houses for some reason.

So, since this my new “authorial” social presence, I should maybe talk about my book things? Or, sad to say, all the things in progress I’ve not finished lately.

Let’s preface by saying that since 2018, I moved to LA, went through the pandemic, remarried, now have both a toddler and a college kid.
