The North Carolina Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing has made significant progress and gained considerable momentum over the last few years. I am confident we will continue to do so, and I, as Chair, and Hope, as Vice Chair, are ready to lead our council for long-term success.

I am pleased to announce that my fellow councilmembers have elected me Chair of the North Carolina Statewide Independent Living Council.

I am delighted to announce that, after being nominated by my fellow councilmembers, Dr. Devdutta Sangvai, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, has officially appointed me Chair of the North Carolina Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
