To be clear, slavery still exists in the US as stated in Article 13. It is absolutely conceivable that unscrupulous leaders (like Trump) would use this as an excuse to extract his 'retribution'.

I recommend that anyone with a megaphone during ICE/military demonstrations (in DC and elsewhere) broadcast to them, and let them know history is watching (see script below.)
Let them all know there will come a day when their actions or inaction will be questioned; no matter how long it takes.
