Authoritarianism can only succeed when democracy fails to deliver for working people.

Authoritarian parties can only succeed when the pro-democracy parties fail to fight for working people.

We need a new democracy and a new party system which can represent working people.

Masking indoors in public spaces boils down to this for me now:

I love never being sick from airborne infectious diseases.

The last cold I had was in early 2019, with not even a sniffle since. The only thing I don't do is dine indoors in public spaces; a good trade for health.

China’s CO₂ emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months — a stunning milestone as solar & wind power surge.

With 240 GW of new solar added this year alone, the world’s largest emitter may have already peaked — years ahead of 2030.

Seeing some beautiful photos of aurorae tonight, so here's a reminder that other planets get them, too!

This is Saturn, with aurorae visible at both poles in this UV image from Hubble's Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph, taken in October 1997 when the planet was 1.3 billion km away.

Did you read the article?

"the flu vaccine doesn’t stop onward transmission entirely"

Those around them can wear respirators. Then the influenza will not go inside them and make them sick, and will not come out again and go inside the babies, and so the babies will also not get sick.

🤷
Bro it's about young children, most of whom cannot mask (babies under six months are most at risk)
