HHU Research Day on 5.7.2025 was a great success! MibiNet captivated visitors with the "Sweet Secrets – Why Even Fungi Have a Sweet Tooth" experiment. We showed how sugar is broken down in microorganisms – from yeast to the corn smut fungus U. maydis. Big thanks to the team on site!

Tiny scientists, huge fun! Children at AWO Kita Ki.Wis explored the world of fungi with Dr. Terfrüchte and the support of #MibiNet. Microscope, taste test & lots of fun! This is an excellent example of how to get children excited about science.
