yep, millions of americans live in a social world where the very idea of pluralism is alien and even verboten
Megachurches allow people to create whole social lives (jobs, clubs, camps, concerts, etc) where they never interact with anyone who might disagree with them even on minor doctrinal matters; this is where the Moms for Liberty are coming from.

I will go to threads if most/all of my Twitter friends are there, or if some of my Instagram people are there. If both are there I will not risk cross contamination.
I'll stick with Twitter and BlueSky. Don't have much interest or energy in maintaining a third platform.
