Monmouth's location at the confluence of two major rivers makes it historically vulnerable to flooding. The current situation, with severe warnings on the River Monnow and the River Wye, is sadly a recurrent theme in the town's history, spanning centuries.
Monmouth floods: four severe flood warning, fear of “significant risk to life”, and 685 homes were without power which could not be turned back on because of the flood water.

More than a dozen so-called Russian Houses have been established in major cities across Africa in recent years.

These institutions are a key element of Russia’s diplomatic and cultural outreach to non-Western nations, an effort that critics claim amounts to spreading pro-Russian propaganda.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

EU Freedom of Movement didn't mean "uncontrolled immigration". That was just another Farage lie. Here are the rules that regulated Freedom of Movement for any EU country that wanted to impose them.

So when Farage rails against the latest migration figures, he's railing against a monster of his own making. The EU didn't impose uncontrolled immigration on us; it offered a framework that reflected geography, economics and reality”

ie - control.

People are just realising that we had a better grip on immigration within the EU
They gave us bar staff and builders - we gave them sunburnt pensioners and seaside property booms. It was win-win.
