President Stubb about the amount of Ukrainian territory Russia wants:

The best way to explain its that if you take the relative land mass of what Russia wants right now from 🇺🇦,it would be a little bit like you giving up Florida,Georgia,S.Carolina,N.Carolina,even Virginia, then bumping into Maryland

Morecambe FC could be saved with a £2m takeover - no takers.

Sheffield Wednesday limping towards death’s door.

But Liverpool contemplating a £150m bid for Alexander Isak?

Why not impose a 1% tax on all transfers to insure against the Premier League killing the football pyramid?

BBC is solemnly reporting on the Atomic Bomb destruction of Hiroshima this morning.

Immediately after a report that US Sec of Health, Robert F Kennedy is removing government funding for vaccines. 140,000 were estimated to have died in Hiroshima.

How many will die for US antivax propaganda?

The UK has the highest industrial electricity prices in Europe.

Upto 132% higher than the EU14 median. Five times more than in Finland.

Since 2020, UK's 20 largest energy companies have made £514bn operating profit, destroying businesses and households.

If Bezos or any of the others had empathy, compassion or philanthropic thoughts for their employees and didn’t exploit them, I dare say most wouldn’t mind the “bosses”treating themselves.

Alternatively, a German comedian once said “in Germany we don’t do charity instead we pay our taxes”.
