Everyone can be a victim of violence, but GBV disproportionately affects the vulnerable and often goes unheard. Today, I joined a vital training with Uganda Media Women Associatiom Mama FM on gender-sensitive online reporting emphasizing ethics, cultural insight, and amplifying silenced voices.

The crackdown on climate activists opposing EACOP only strengthens my resolve to keep raising my voice. Silencing those who speak up for their communities and the planet won’t stop the fight for climate justice — it will only make us louder~ Desire Ndyamwesiga

This is grim. I’m pretty sure this swan in Hyde Park is nesting, and it’s surrounded by plastic waste that’s washing up from the Serpentine. It’s so representative of our relationship with the natural world. It’s shameful.

Climate activism isn’t a choice made for fun—it’s a response to crisis, injustice, and silence. It’s not a job; it’s survival, resistance, and love. We don’t seek admiration—we seek to be heard, supported, and joined.

A lot is happening in Uganda: UGX 100M to MPS for the Coffee Bill, over UGX 140M for condom use training yet we’ve been battling floods killing people and destroying homes. Communities are suffering yet our leaders are silent wasting money on trivial matters while real crises are ignored.
