The client commissioned me to illustrate a character doing some type of kamehameha. My initial sketch was rejected for straying too far from his vision (I still liked my idea better). We worked slowly until we came up with a sketch that more closely resembled his idea.

El cuero, as his name suggests, is a monstrous leather that floats on the surface of lakes and rivers of southern Chile. When someone is near El Cuero, it launches and catches its victims, sinking to the bottom of the lake or river to devour them.
