"discord is not documentation" needs to be tattooed on the foreheads of everyone who treats their discord server as the place to go for troubleshooting, faqs, patch notes, etc.

not just game devs, but tech people adjacent to gaming, like twitch chatbot and extension developers too

I'm begging you, small game developers, do not silo all feedback, info, workarounds, etc into discord. The fraction of folks who know where to look, or even want to join are so small. Joining a discord for every game I'm playing just to see if a patch is coming is driving me up the wall.
