I went shopping a time or two with someone at the commissary at Bethesda Naval complex. It was just amazing how low the prices were.
Re Zohran’s grocery store plans- the government already runs discount grocery stores ALL OVER THE WORLD.

They are called commissaries and they are on every US military base.

No one has ever had a problem with their existence

This seems like the most straightforward and also basically accurate message.
instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."
