If you're unsure if you're eligible, call your local sexual health clinic. If you've already had two doses, you don't need a third jab. The vaccine programme is focusing on eligible unvaccinated people

People with close contact with someone who has mpox or who is at high risk of exposure to it

Most of these new cases have affected gay, bi and other men having sex with men - so while the risk in the UK remains low, it's especially important for these communities to be aware
The overall risk of getting mpox in the UK remains low. But you may be at a higher risk in the UK if you're a gay or bi man, or a man having sex with men

There have been a small number of mpox cases in European counties without there having been a travel link to a country with known transmission

That means that mpox is likely spreading in some communities in Europe
Recent non-travel related diagnoses of mpox in Europe indicate that the clade 1b variant is being transmitted in Europe
