It sure has, Mersea is famous for it's oysters & this little 'island' was one of the old places where they used to pack them up for the barges to take to London.

Woke up a 5.00am on Sunday morning by this horrendous screaming noise. Went outside to investigate & found a Muntjac completely wedged in a metal gate. I had to cut one of the bars so I could bend the metal so it could escape !! The injuries were only superficial 😍

Well done Sarah, we've both been animal rescuers this week then !!
