It's been a little while, so Gidday! And my Desert Rose has announced that Xmas is on the horizon and a double rainbow portends good things :-)

Feeding this little one grapes and having a chat = Joy
Usually they pair for life but this little one is solo.

The Gold Coast Heritage Museum has a little piece of land that replicates what flora was here in the old days before cane fields overtook the area. And from time to time Koalas come to hang out in the grounds. Cute sign.

Just saw this movie. Not my usual cup of tea, thought it was a great romp. Witnessed amazing stunt work & fight scenes with some very clever character placement (without giving too much away). Amazed Mr. C did those stunts. The stunt team looked at the script and said 'feck off'. Very entertaining.

Found this guy on my Hibiscus. He was plump and massive. Luckily he was solo and not part of a Plague :-}

Back at the Gold Coast's Home of the Arts to see a premiere of 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' coming to Prime 18 April. Traumatic and beautiful. Excellent Australian film making.

A couple of crazy kid Lorikeets, in love and totally oblivious to the shite show happening around the world right now

'Hans-Solo' is looking much better today, dried feathers and not so sleep deprived. Good to see him back.

Nearly all the plants and patio furniture is off the balcony...welcome to the jungle!
Gold Coast Cyclone prep.

Good luck to those on the Queensland Coast in the path of Cyclone Alfred. I've just given the local Lorikeets and others an extra feed of grapes in case they have slim pickings in the next few days :-(

Last night attended an AACTA 25th Anniversary showing of 'The Dish'.

A quirky, funny, loveable and historical portrayal of Australia's contribution to the Apollo 11 voyage.

I'd seen it before but not on the big screen. Wonderful.

Last night saw 'The Last Showgirl'. I haven't seen Pamela Anderson acting in ages. A gritty portrayal of a Vegas Showgirl at the end of her career. Well done. Even got a Champers for my trouble.

Just a pic of a friendly Rainbow Lorikeet on my balcony who's only concern is that I give him/her a grape. Oh to be as oblivious and in the moment as you m'friend.

It's hot in Queensland (an understatement). Even Dave the Water Dragon has retreated to the pool.

Tree's up :-)

The tree is up and decorations giving a nod to Aus where I was born and NZ where I grew up.
