When Canada did this, it was brilliant. It was for this reason that I spoke with my financial advisor about moving into foreign assets. They were worthless, but I still think it would make sense to have some accounts outside the US to hedge my risk. It's a matter of when, not if the economy tanks.

to be even clearer: the clip isn’t him calling for accountability. the clip is him *fearing* future accountability. that means (1) he’s reading the landscape & thinking there might someday be consequences for today’s transgressions; (2) it becomes incumbent on us to build the accountability

We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

The numbers in here are hilarious.

Do you use AI on the job?
Execs: 87%
Managers: 57%
Workers: 27%

Planned investment by 2030: $5T
"Necessary" annual revenue to justify that spend: $650B
Current annual revenue: $50B
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening
Recent surveys point to flatlining business adoption
