They’ve even made an effort to feed stray kitties 🥹 And last week, a group of donors in New Zealand helped them hand out juice boxes & snacks to a whole gaggle of kids. They’re so cool; I just adore these wonderful humans & want them to be secure enough that they can keep doing what they're doing.

This one here? Just next to where that smoke is rising is where that 17 story commercial building stood until Israel demolished it with air strikes just 5 days ago. Just to get a sense of how brutal and constant this is.

I have never been more frightened for their safety than I am today. And that’s *really* saying something. I worry how Israel will escalate further, knowing full well they’re forcing everyone into an impossible situation.

Earlier this summer, my friend Tasneem asked me to help her & her husband Nidal raise funds for their neighbours in camp in Gaza city. Last week they were able to buy and cook food for dozens of people 😭
They do this as they themselves are facing displacement AGAIN, hungry, with a newborn & 3yo 🥺

Tasneem says water trucks don’t often make it to where she and her family are currently sheltering in the west of Gaza. They’re hoping to change that with your help!

Got up early to take a morning hike in the woods with a friend (& her pup) before the heat started climbing too high, picked the season’s first wild strawberries along the way, & now I get to spend the afternoon reading in my (so far) cool, dark apartment. Not bad for a heat dome Sunday, actually.
