Immune exhaustion is a state in which the immune system becomes less effective over time. It is a topic that has been garnering increasing attention in ME/CFS research.

So true! Genuinely look like the third one today 🤣

Just been out in my wheelchair to the shop- part of my pacing after having Covid a couple of months back. My husband said how great it was to be able to be out with me. Definite gamechanger for me #pwME

ME community - I’m updating my website & I’m going to put free resources on there about pacing etc as I want to give back

If you were looking at physiotherapy for ME - what would be your FAQ’s? Or what resources would you like access to?

When you’re trying to sleep but your husband is snoring so loudly you can’t even hear your audio book 🙄

Slight brain fog moment. Forgot the *actual* coffee in my cuppa!

Have you had any funny brain fog fails?!

Or you can be a combination, and that is just fine too

Do I prefer health homemade meals? Yes

Do I always have capacity?
No

Sometimes pacing can look like this. And I don’t beat myself up for it either ❤️

Two to-do lists written and prioritised for the week 💪🏼

One for work and one for home. Highlighted with low, medium and high intensity activity to help with pacing.

Have you got a system? #peME #mecfs #chronicillness #spoonie

Having a poorly child today and being up in the night means literally one job on my days to do list has been done. That’s ok. It’s not a race and pacing takes priority as I can’t help my son if I’m in a PEM crash

Spanner in the works - up in the night with poorly child (12) and then run around getting medical appointments and logistics etc. Thank goodness it’s nearly the end of the week! I’m a Celeb and straight to bed for me tonight #guiltypleasure #imaceleb #boymum #pwME

I attended a great seminar on Severe/Very Severe ME this evening - really opened my eyes on how much can be done to support nutrition, especially so if the need is picked up early. Anoter thing i can help my patients with signposting to appropriate sevices

Saw this today and it sums up my week perfectly so far! I’m having a slow week after attending an event at the weekend - on the plus side the PEM has been minimal #pwME #pacing

Payback time for me after attending an event yesterday - lots of rest, hydration and not beating myself up for it! The pre emptive energy banking before the event has definitely reduced the PEM today though ❤️ #pwME

Ok, I’m still getting my head around this platform - can anyone kindly tell me how I see the comments on people’s posts please?

Preemptive pacing for m for an event to tomorrow evening.

For me that involves looks reclined rest, eyes closed listening to an audiobook (limiting sensory input through my eyes), good sleep hygiene and nutrition and some YouTube guided sleep meditation before bed.

What’s your best tip?

Change in the weather and air pressure gives us that seasonal slide. Im thinking i might do a bit of a pacing/baseline challenge on here in the run up to December to help us all if anyone would like to join me?
