I painted up some of the new Highland Miniatures zombies the other night as test minis. This is a super quick scheme that’s mostly just a zenithal primed, Speedpaint, and an all over drybrush. It’s mean to be fast and look good as a big group cause you know you’ll need a whole horde.

Was thinking about getting the Drukhari box since the new Archon is sweet & the selection of units is good, but $240 for about 600 points of models is too much for me.
Half of it is the pricing, but the other issue is just how severely under pointed everything in 40K is. Armies should be smaller.

I don’t normally do this sketchier style of painting with lots of texture & visible brush strokes, but I’m really enjoying it & think it suits the setting perfectly.

I finished up my War Wolf for Trench Crusade yesterday. First time using UHU glues to get that nice stringy blood. 🩸

Re-obtained the best 40K rulebook! I sadly lost my original copy awhile ago. I still have all my Codexes though.

I finished up my first Anointed for the Heretic Legion. It’s a conversion using a Chaos Chosen body with the head, arms, & weapon from Westfalia Cadaver Corps, accessory bits from @trenchcrusade.bsky.social, & various pouches stolen from kits. I also sculpted some more webbing to him.

Finished up the Gungnir from the Halo:Flashpoint War Games box recently. Fairly hard model to photograph.
I went with a more standard Spartan green on this guy but decided to try a different shade of green than my 2 other green ones.
Kind of want to try some urban digital camo on my next one…

I finally finished up the second Fireteam from the Spartan edition of Halo Flashpoint, Fireteam Hydra.
I did a few conversions on them including giving 2 of them unhelmeted heads courtesy of some 40K Guard kits, and making one look like a certain member of Noble Team.

These Death Cult Assassins are probably some of my favorite 40K sculpts. They just scream 40K.

My Imperial Agents army continues to grow one models at a time, this time with a deadly Vindicare Assassin!

I painted up this Trans-Hyperian Alliance Hearthguard as a test model. Mostly finished in an evening. The orange armour itself was about 30-40 mins.
Lots of Speedpaint with Fanatic highlights and some quick layering.
Tempted to do a 1k Hearthband force in this scheme for a team event.

I painted up this Trans-Hyperian Alliance Hearthguard as a test model. Mostly finished in an evening. The orange armour itself was about 30-40 mins.
Lots of Speedpaint with Fanatic highlights and some quick layering.
Tempted to do a 1k Hearthband force in this scheme for a team event.

So looking at the Sanctifiers rules for 40K, do they just not use the Confessor and Cherub?
