'Pawn' has been used as 'one who is played' 'a piece of little import' but we are more numerous than any king. And, in the chess metaphor, all the pieces 'are played by the hand of another,' king or pawn. I'm gonna take it back, embrace being a pawn.

Becasue putting the focus on a king, even a would-be, wanna-be one, is missing the point. The point is you and me.

And when I say they are defunding public things that support life, I mean they are failing to use the federal taxes we paid. I'm feeling like following the powerful example of Maine's Governor, Janet Mills, and withhold our federal funding, if they are going to withhold support of the federal good.
