it's growing! spent some time this week adapting the pattern to make it steek-able, and I've been locked in ever since 🧶🧦
an in-progress knit vest attached to knitting needles. the bottom is made up of vertical stripes, while the top has a colourwork pattern resembling a stained glass window. the main details are worked in black yarn, while the background is a colour changing (blue/pink/purple) yarn.

a finished pair of hand knit socks modelled by the maker. the socks are a blend of greens, browns and light blues, and have a lacy and bumpy texture.

on the home stretch of sock number 2! 🧶🧦

once I get the heel turned and gusset stitches picked up, it feels like the rest of the sock just flies off my needles
an in-progress sock, still attached to knitting needles and held up for the camera by the maker. the sock is blue-green in colour with brown flecks, and has some bumpy texture.

finishing up the final sock of a pair I started back in September 🧦🧶

pattern is vanilla is the new black by Anneh Fletcher on ravelry
yarn is WYS signature 4ply in the colourway bullfinch

I love the heel construction in this pattern!

my full haul from the knitting and stitching show, clearly I'm in a sock knitting mood! 🧦🧶

I got the final classification for my masters degree on the same day as the show so I treated myself as a reward 😊
4 hanks of yarn in a row in a variety of colours. the first hank is a mixture of blue and grey. the second is a mixture of blue, grey, and orange. the third hank of yarn is green, with some dark brown speckles and blue tones mixed in. the final hank is a mix of bright purples and pinks. also pictured are some cat themed stitch markers and a pair of wooden knitting needles.
