hahaha my first job in high school was bagging groceries at kroger. i hated every minute of it and am glad to shift some of the blame onto them. i've done quaker (butter flavored, which is overkill) and regular, and another store brand recently, and these harris teeter grits are just an abomination

nothing to apologize for! it's just so *frustrating*! i feel like harris teeter has betrayed, like, the south, and obliterated anything good left of it with this 100% farce of instant grits! the whole reason they're "instant" is because they should be impossible to f up and yet somehow they have!

more butter, more salt, more pepper, no effect. these are just so bland and so grainy

yeah, every other brand, I use about a cup of water for two packets. with that amount, harris teeter grits clump up like sand. I've had to adjust in the opposite direction, with absolutely no improvement in texture or taste
